Now entering his 20th year, Director of 大学的指导 柯克布莱克沃德 has perfected a system that ensures every boy gets individual, personalized attention from the moment they step on campus until the very end of the college-application process.
Christ School's Class of 2023 was the 大学的指导 Office's latest triumph - the seniors enrolled at colleges in 20 different states and earned a combined $2.7 million in scholarships. Multiple students went to Auburn, 桑佛德, 克莱姆森, 维吉尼亚州, 伊利诺斯州, UNC-Chapel山, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington, 高点, and Long Island University.
Mr. Blackard has been involved in college admissions and college counseling since 1991. St的毕业生. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Va., Mr. Blackard received a B.A. from Wake Forest University in 1989 and his master's from 维吉尼亚州 Commonwealth University in 1995.
Mr. Blackard lives on campus and his interests include basketball, tennis, and cooking.
Longtime Asheville resident 莉丝贝哈里森 joined the Christ School 大学的指导 Office in 2019. As Office Manager, she works closely with Director 柯克布莱克沃德 and Associate Director 特蕾西·韦尔登.
Ms. Harrison came to Christ School after 23 years at Carolina Day School where she was a teachers assistant and also worked in the Advancement and 入学 offices.
Outside of work, Ms. Harrison likes to travel, work in her garden, hike, read, and spend time with her family. She is involved in the French Broad River Garden Club and serves on the hospitality team at St. Eugene's Catholic Church. Ms. Harrison has lived in Asheville since 1975 and has three sons.
With 27 years of experience, 戴尔Sparacino is one of the longest-tenured faculty members at Christ School.
夫人. Sparacino helped start the Learning Resource program at Christ School and continues to aid it as well as teach the Test Prep Class. 她得了B.A. in Special Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1980 and her teaching background includes jobs in with Henderson County Schools and the Hun School of Princeton, N.J.
夫人. Sparacino enjoys the outdoors, travel, and time spent with her family. Her husband’s name is David.
Christ School students can count on 特蕾西·韦尔登 to be a trusted ally in their college search.
The Assistant Director of 大学的指导 says she is inspired by college applicants who take the process seriously and aims to help every boy explore all possibilities, whether the universities are domestic or abroad.
夫人. Weldon grew up on a small farm just outside Asheville but has spent her last 10 years working as a college counselor at international boarding schools in Leysin, 瑞士, 上海, 中国, 最近, 济州岛, 韩国. Besides college counseling, she also has experience working in admissions and alumni affairs at a small private liberal arts college.
She holds a master’s in Higher Education from Harvard University and both a master’s in Creative Writing and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
夫人. Weldon has long admired the mission and beauty of Christ School. Her first visit to campus was one of her high school cross country races that she remembers fondly.
Outside of school, Tracy enjoys traveling, 徒步旅行, 园艺, and spending time with her daughter and husband.
